"WILDE HUMMELN" KINDERGARTEN

The daycare center is open Monday to Friday from 7.00 a.m. to 17.00 p.m.

The children's day care centre “Wilde Hummeln” is located in Erich-Zeigner-Allee on the banks of the Weißen Elster in the family-friendly district of Plagwitz. Children are looked after from their 1st birthday.

In our daycare we work in core groups. During everyday life at the crèche, the children have the opportunity to explore the entire crèche area. We see all spatial areas as learning places for each individual child. In this sense, all rooms, including hallways, cloakrooms, bathrooms and the outdoor area, offer opportunities for children to experience. The aim is for our rooms and processes to offer age-appropriate suggestions for exploring, understanding, learning and creating.

Our group rooms have nooks and niches that are assigned to specific areas of education and experience. Supported by material and educational offerings from the educators, the children in these rooms gain valuable experiences based on their own decisions. Self-education is the result of children’s independent actions.

The kindergarten offers breakfast, lunch and snacks. Breakfast and snacks are prepared in the house, the catering is fee-based.

As a language daycare center, we focus on resource-oriented language education for all children in our facility that is integrated into everyday life.

In the immediate vicinity of the kindergarten there are the Forstrevier Nonne, the Küchenholz, gardens, public green spaces and playgrounds, which are perfect for walks and environmental excursions.

The day care center is reachable by public transport (tram lines 1, 2 and 3, bus lines 60 and 74). Parking for cars and bike racks are available directly in front of the facility.
